Grooming

Schnauzers require regular weekly brushing and/or washing in order to maintain their beautiful soft fur coat.  There are a few tips and tricks that can be used if you forget or get busy and are not able to brush their beautiful coats every day.  

1.  Purchase a detangler specifically made for long haired dogs and spray their coats regularly.

2.  Get the right tools,  a small flexible slicker brush will help to keep knots at bay and their coats beautiful.  A good pair of clippers will ensure a nice well trimmed puppy graces your living room sofa.

3.  Take your puppy to the groomer, they will brush, clean their ears, clip your babies nails and ensure that it is all done properly.

4.  If you are determined to clip your puppy yourself then the tools listed below, while not top quality, are good for a pet family wanting to learn to clip their puppy.
